RESPITE CARE

Respite Care is the provision of short-term, temporary relief to those who are caring for family members who might otherwise require permanent placement in a facility outside the home.

The reality is that there are times when even the most loving and dedicated of carers need a break. There can be any number of reasons for this; perhaps the carer is themselves unwell or has to be elsewhere, or maybe they are taking a well deserved holiday? This is where we can help.

There should be no guilt attached to taking time away from a person for whom you care, but sadly, there often is.

Respite care at our home is also an excellent way of familiarising  service user with our surrounding and people, so if/when a permanent move into residential care becomes necessary, they already feel at home with us.
